Binance Voluntarily Offered Blockchain Training Sessions to Agencies in Ukraine
Binance, which is globally the biggest crypto platform by trading volume, has been fulfilling its commitments impressively toward community building.
Binance isn’t just concerned with the well-being of the crypto industry but also takes a huge interest in educating authorities associated with the industry.
One of its initiatives aimed at community building pertained to offering essential training to officers of law enforcement agencies in Ukraine.
In this connection, virtual sessions were held by Binance in which officials from Ukraine’s top agencies were trained by representatives of Binance.
Such sessions were reportedly attended by Ukraine’s National Police (UNP), Asset Recovery & Management Agency (ARMA), and National Security Services (SBU).
Binance’s training program focused on educating individuals from UNP, ARMA, and SBU about blockchain, digital currencies, and challenges stemming therefrom.
Comments of GM of Binance’s Subsidiary in Ukraine
Kiril Khomyakov, who is the GM of Binance Ukraine, said that Ukraine has been fighting two wars at the moment.
He explained that the first war is between Russia and the other, which has been waged against the country, by the digital assets/currencies industry.
He claimed that Ukraine is under severe attack by financial crimes that the country has never fought before. In this connection, Khomyakov said that the training of the institutions concerned is of utmost importance.
He insisted that ‘there is no better trainer of blockchain and the digital assets in the world than Binance’.
He claimed that Binance’s mission is to educational institutions so as to equip them in countering such financial and cybercrimes.
He further suggested that through education Ukraine can ensure economic prosperity and improve financial security.
Discussion during the Training Courses
The previous whole week was devoted by Binance to educating the key personnel of Ukraine’s NPU, ARMA, and SBU.
During the courses, representatives of Binance Global deliberated upon the essentials of blockchain and crypto technologies. They further highlighted the unique challenges which primarily arise out of blockchain and crypto.
The firm also apprised the participants about the standards upheld by Binance with regard to its anti-money laundering policy.
In this connection, Binance educates the training seekers on how to dedicate and identify fraud and how it could be prevented before causing any damage.
Binance’s representatives also discussed in detail the methods adopted and implemented by Binance for detecting crypto thefts, scams, and frauds.
How Effective Ukraine’s Agencies Were Against Crypto in The Past
Ukraine’s law enforcement agencies had been very effective in the past in preventing and identifying crypto crimes and criminals.
For instance, the authorities there had 2022 busted a fraudulent scheme, seized proceeds of crime, and arrested those who were involved.
It was found that the scheme had embezzled more than $250 Million belonging to investors from various EU member states.
Authorities also came to know that the fraudulent scheme was targeting investors mainly from the EU region.
Ukraine’s Crypto Market Future
The crypto industry in Ukraine finds support even from the local law enforcement agencies, which is shocking as compared to other countries.
For instance, Ukraine’s authority responsible for preventing cybercrimes had offered its support to the industry when it advocated for legalizing crypto.
For these very reasons and various other factors, Ukraine’s industry is a rapidly expanding industry of the world.
Currently, the country is appealing to other states of the world to support Ukraine in responding to the Russian war. In this connection, the country is accepting donations in digital currencies.
Hence, crypto is a widely accepted mode of payment across Ukraine.
Binance’s Efforts towards Community Building
Binance has been playing a unique role in the industry by voluntarily offering community-building services.
The firm has many times in the past carried out similar training programs from time to time for various countries. Such services are offered by the firm free of charge and purely on a voluntary basis.
The last country, which benefitted from such services of Binance in 2022, was Kazakhstan.
