Ubisoft, Assassin’s Creed developer, declared it will hold a free Ethereum nonfungible token mint for Champions Tactic, its impending game on Oasys.
Ubisoft’s integration of Tezos nonfungible tokens (NFTs) to Ghost Recon Breakpoint in 2021 might have made gamers groan. However, the firm behind Just Dance and Assassin’s Creed has not given up on blockchain technology.
Ubisoft Offering Ethereum Nonfungible Tokens Mint
The company will host a free Ethereum nonfungible tokens mint for its forthcoming game.
The game publisher’s Twitter announcement on Thursday showed it would hold a free nonfungible token mint for a profile pictures (PFPS) series associated with Champions Tactics: Grimoria Chronicles. This forthcoming game will be established on the game-pivotal Oasys blockchain. Further, NFTs’ minting will entail users paying Ethereum network gas fees.
The Warlord’s profile pictures have the same design as pixel heroes from old-school games. The official website shows that the Warlords nonfungible tokens will provide quick access to holders to mint the final in-game Champions collectibles that will also be free.
Cumulatively, 9999 Warlords nonfungible tokens will be created. In this case, 8000 will be available through the Mint, 1000 will be provided to the Oasys community, while Ubisoft will reserve the remainder for future giveaways and marketing purposes. They still need to be provided despite a request for comment and extra information.
Ubisoft to Randomly Select 50 Qualified Users for Allowlist
Twitter users are encouraged to like, retweet, and comment on the inclusion of Ubisoft’s statement to the allowlist to mint the nonfungible tokens. According to the firm, 50 randomly qualified users will be selected for the allowlist. Additionally, they will access a private Discord server.
Champions Tactics Grimoria Chronicle’s initial announcement happened during the summer, and lately, Ubisoft has been disclosing additional data concerning the crypto-native game. The latest information indicates an online tactic that involves the players’ use of fantasy characters to battle each other.
In this case, ‘numerous special, robust Champions’ will resemble tabletop collectibles. Nevertheless, Ubisoft has also demonstrated multiple images of what appears to be trading cards, potentially including an additional perspective into the strategic experience.
