Immutable, the gaming company behind an Ethereum scaling solution Immutable X, has seen several Web3 game developers adopt its technology in recent months. Many builders consider Immutable X cheaper and faster than the Ethereum mainnet. Numerous games built on Immutable X have flooded the leading gaming marketplace, Epic Games Store. Here is a complete list of all the games on Epic Store developed using Immutable X technology.
Avalon
Avalon is a multiplayer video game allowing participants to craft items, create characters, explore a world full of ships and dragons, and complete quests. In this game, everything from forges, buildings, mounts, and characters exists as non-fungible tokens (NFTs). The Epic Games Store currently lists Avalon as an upcoming game, which is set to launch in 2024, but the exact date has yet to be revealed.
Blocklords
In the Blocklords Web3 game, players are required to buy a plot of land and build various structures. After that, they employ workers and task them with mining and harvesting various items. Moreover, the workers are responsible for fighting off any invader. In the game, expect moments from the gamebook “Choose Your Own Adventure” to appear. In such instances, you will be asked to select a response to certain events. If you fail, you will face some consequences.
As of this writing, Blocklords NFTs are only available on two blockchains, Polygon and Immutable X.
Delysium
This is another game listed in the “Upcoming” section on the Epic Games Store. The Delysium video game is still in development and is set to launch in 2025. When it goes live, players will buy NFTs from the Immutable NFT marketplace and customize them to increase their chances of winning battles. Moreover, Delysium will allow players to vote on proposals regarding the game using the AGI governance token.
Gods Unchained
This Immutable NFT trading card game lets players earn the GODs token for participation. Launched in 2018, God Unchained was listed on the Epic Games Store in June 2023. However, after a few weeks, the game was delisted following a change in Epic Games’ policies that barred Adult-Only rated video games from the store.
At the start of December, Epic Games announced that it had revised its policies and allowed games like God Unchained to be relisted in the store.
Illuvium
There are two Illuvium games listed on the Epic Games Store: Arena and Overworld. The former is a pet autobattler game, where players use Illuvials cards to battle an enemy in a tiny fighting arena, while the latter is an exploration game letting players go after dangerous hunts.
According to data on the Epic Games Store, the two Illuvium games are available on the basis of invites-only. The games are free-to-play. Additionally, Illuvium NFTs are optional.
Metalcore
If you enjoy fighting opponents in video games, you might want to check out Metalcore on the Epic Games Store. All Metalcore characters, which include weapons, crafting tools, and vehicles, are NFTs built on the Immutable zkEvm blockchain.
Space Nation Online
This game is still in the development stage. It will come in two versions: one with blockchain elements and the other without. The blockchain-powered Space Nation Online game will have its NFTs running on Immutable zkEVM. Notably, Roland Emmerich, the brains behind popular films, The Day After Tomorrow and Independence Day, is contributing to the development of the Space Nation Online game, which is expected to hit the market in 2025.
The Bornless
Similar to Space Nation Online, The Bornless will have a Web3 and a Web2 version. Based on Epic Games Store’s data, the horror shooter game will launch in 2024. Its NFTs will be created on the Immutable zkEVM blockchain.
More Games
Other Web3 games that have adopted Immutable technology and are listed on the Epic Games Store include Age of Zalmoxis, Chain Monsters, The Lost Glitches, Citizen Conflict, and Aviatrix.
