Ava Labs is set to integrate AI-powered Chatbot. The platform dubbed AvaGPT will utilize ChatGPT’s API to provide answers to questions posed on the Avalanche Network. The AI Chatbot will give users real-time access to the primary source material.
Ava Labs Unveil AvaGPT
Ava Labs identifies with developing the Avalanche network. Its Tuesday, June 20 statement illustrated that it would unveil AvaGPT, a product marking its entry into the blockchain firms leveraging OpenAI’s ChatGPT tech.
Ava Labs technical product executive Kieran McShane indicated that AvaGPT would offer solutions to Avalanche network users while guaranteeing them access to the support team. He added that AvaGPT is a product developed out of the quest to answer queries quicker while eliminating delays in accessing source material.
Ava Labs Utilizes In-house Engineering and Support Teams for AvaGPT Development
McShane illustrated that AvaGPT was involved in a joint project involving Kapa AI, a ChatGPT-based service provider. The tech product executive indicated it would feature the Ava Labs Core platform. Core involves a platform facilitating quick buying, swapping, and remittance of cryptos. The AvaGPT development relied upon the steering by support and engineers drawn from Ava Labs.
McShane clarified that AvaGPT features restricted training using Avalanche documentation. He added that its training is tied explicitly to the Avalanche network allowing the customer support team drawn from Ava Labs the capability to resolve the queries.
The product executive explained that Ava Labs’ Core is an in-house product that supports multiple blockchains, including Ethereum, Bitcoin, and Avalanche.
Ava Labs Expanding its Service and Products Portfolio for Improved User Experience
McShane admitted that Core experiences high usage. He added that Ava Labs is set to unveil additional Avalanche-specific features. He confessed that AvaGPT would be the second product to leverage chatbot tech since Ava Labs already utilizes it within its Discord server to facilitate responses to various queries.
The Tuesday statement revisited Ava Labs’ journey since its establishment in 2018. The New York-headquartered firm would in 2020 unveil the Avalanche proof-of-stake (PoS) blockchain as its inaugural development.
Two years later, Ava Labs introduced Core Wallet in June. It initially targeted decentralized apps (dApps) though an Android-based version for mobile devices would emerge in December 2022. McShane held that AvaGPT is the latest addition to the tools that comprise the Core Suite. Although noncommittal, McShane signaled that Ava Labs could introduce other GPT-based products.
Ava Labs Join the ChatGPT Wagon, a Preference for Blockchain Companies
The move by Ava Labs replicates the move by Etherscan to include the ChatGPT into the tools it is deploying to analyze the Ethereum blockchain. The Ethereum block explorer revealed it was launching Code Reader on Monday, June 19.
Though still in a beta version, the product would reinforce its analytics by integrating ChatGPT API. The Code Reader harnesses the power inherent in AI to enable users to retrieve and interpret source codes within contract addresses.
Ava Labs Issues Disclaimer Regarding AvaGPT Usage
A review of the crypto space shows several top-ranking blockchain firms are using the ChatGPT tech, including Alchemy and Polygon Labs. Similar to the move by blockchain companies using the chatbot developed by Sam Altman-led, OpenAI issued a disclaimer. It acknowledges that AI responses are susceptible to inaccuracies. Consequently, it recommends AvaGPT use be restricted to seeking informational purposes.
The warning alerts users that Ava Labs and the Avalanche community are not a party to content captured within the chats. The community and Ava Labs should be excluded as a party responsible for certifying the correctness, value, and accuracy of information communicated by the chatbot.
The warning reads that Ava Labs neither moderates nor the chat content. The warning added that AvaGPT is not an exception to AI hallucinations. Such may arise when fake information is generated relative to the prompts submitted.
Ava Labs warns that AI hallucinations may pose significant challenges to the rapid development of AI. False and fake information may make the AvaGPT unuseful to the prompts fed.
The decision to expand to artificial intelligence portrays Ava Labs’ efforts to improve user experience. In early June, Ava Labs initiated the Avalanche Arcad3 program intending to assist conventional game developers in expanding into blockchain-based games.
